Let’s be real, if you are at all paying attention you are feeling fear.
Fear, an instinctive response to the unknown, is a universal human experience. As we journey through life and accumulate experiences, our anxieties often shift from ourselves to those we cherish most. As a mature adult, my concerns have evolved; I find myself worrying more about the well-being and future of my grandchildren than my own. The world can be an unpredictable and, at times, daunting place, and it's our responsibility to provide the younger generation with unwavering love, support, and reassurance as they navigate its complexities.
Engaging in creative activities can also be incredibly beneficial, as it allows us to express ourselves, explore new ideas, and find solace in the beauty of the world around us.
One of the most effective ways to overcome fear is through action. By staying active, both physically and mentally, we can channel our energy into positive pursuits and prevent fear from taking control.
Acknowledging the reality of fear is crucial. It's an uncomfortable emotion that can be paralyzing, leading to stagnation and preventing us from reaching our full potential. However, fear is not insurmountable. It's essential to remember that we possess the inner strength and resilience to conquer our fears and live fulfilling lives.
Remember, fear is a natural part of the human experience, but it doesn't have to define us. By facing our fears head-on, embracing the unknown, and staying active and creative, we can overcome any obstacle and lead fulfilling, meaningful lives.
For those of us that have traveled many miles we have the benefit of perspective but a young mind doesn’t have that advantage. I am reminded of a quote by yours truly that I used with my youth group kids; “So sad-Too bad-So what- Now what.
It clearly states; I recognize the fear, I hate that you are feeling it, It is what it is, Now what are YOU going to DO about it.
Let me be clear, at no time in this post do I use the word EASY. There is no EASY button. There is a HOPE button and it is in everyone’s power to take action and push it as often as you need to to move forward, in spite of the fear.
NOW WHAT?
