The Power of Small Gestures: Offering Help, Not Hurdles

Let’s be real, if you are at all paying attention you are feeling fear.

Fear, an instinctive response to the unknown, is a universal human experience. As we journey through life and accumulate experiences, our anxieties often shift from ourselves to those we cherish most. As a mature adult, my concerns have evolved; I find myself worrying more about the well-being and future of my grandchildren than my own. The world can be an unpredictable and, at times, daunting place, and it's our responsibility to provide the younger generation with unwavering love, support, and reassurance as they navigate its complexities.

Fear is Not Insurmountable

Engaging in creative activities can also be incredibly beneficial, as it allows us to express ourselves, explore new ideas, and find solace in the beauty of the world around us.

For those of us that have traveled many miles we have the benefit of perspective but a young mind doesn’t have that advantage. I am reminded of a quote by yours truly that I used with my youth group kids; “So sad-Too bad-So what- Now what.

It clearly states; I recognize the fear, I hate that you are feeling it, It is what it is, Now what are YOU going to DO about it.

Let me be clear, at no time in this post do I use the word EASY. There is no EASY button. There is a HOPE button and it is in everyone’s power to take action and push it as often as you need to to move forward, in spite of the fear.

NOW WHAT?
