NEW BEGINNINGS

Some combinations go together better than others. How about a Glorious Sunrise with Grand and Great Grandkids, Easter Sonrise Service and then off to the Donut Shop.

Now I may not be the best Grandpa on the planet but in the eyes of my Grandkids I stand tall. OK I admit to the unfair advantage of having an ocean on the East Coast. When I am wanting to see the kids I just mention in passing when I am talking with them that Grandpa Neil has a ocean. Magically, they want to come visit me. It may not be cheating but it comes close.

My now 16 year old Granddaughter comes each summer on her birthday and we have an established tradition that just her and I get up early and go, rain, shine and one year tropical storm, to the place in the photo to greet another year for her. I call this place near our local pier with the angled concrete legs forming a triangle pointing to the sky, the Cathedral of the Atlantic.

I am a firm believer in meaningful connections with each and all of my Grandchildren. This birthday tradition and things like our Easter Sunrise service. I just thought you all would enjoy my sharing the fruits of Grandparenting.

Thanks for being Caring Grandparents.
