LOOKING UP BY LOOKING BACK!

Anyone who reads my stuff knows that I am an incurable Optimist and for that I will not apologize.During this time of LOVING DISTANCING and with Thanksgiving day just two weeks away I want to throw down a challenge to each person reading this post.

What if we were to dig deep into our vaults of memories and find those gems of Thanksgivings past. Once you have the memory you are at a fork in the road. One fork is to ruminate on what we will miss this year, the other is to reach out and share those memories with as many folks as you can possibly connect with. One rule is that the memory has to make you smile as you share it

Just out of the blue let those you care about know what Joy they have brought to your life. I am reminded of what MARK TWAIN said; “Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.” I encourage you to shake up this……..state of suspended animation we are in.In my case I overflow with Joy when I think of my Lovely daughter, with the help of her husband, taking up the family mantle of our “HOLIDAY” celebration.

It lights up my day to think of the 6 hours there and 6 hours back in the same day to be in the room with such Love and Joy. I am taken back to the great people, stories and events of those that are still with us and those who have passed on. These gathering were where we affirmed each other and welcomed new folks into our extended family, laughed and learned a lot.

This qualifies because just sharing it makes me smile, a lot. GRANDPA NEIL
