This blog is about so much more than Grandparents Rights

Most of my posts have been about Grandparents Rights for a good reason. Now and then I come across a story that is so very compelling that it deserves to be shared, My Brother and Sister-in-law have some friends that have a huge challenge in their lives right now and I wanted to let the readers of this post know about it and put it on your hearts to share this with others. The subjects of the story are Chris and Jeff Weihl. They are Grandparents to some 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Of course all 19 are really GREAT grandchildren! I think I can best tell this story in the words of my Sister-in-law Selina. Here is the email she sent to us;

“Good morning dear friends and family.  I wanted to share with as many contacts as I can in the hopes you will also share, share, share, this.  Some of you know our good friends of 30 years Chris and Jeff Weihl and what they have been through in the last year but I have a favor to ask and it is a simple one so hopeful for your help.  Jeff is trying to get his web site up and going again and I will provide you with the direct link below to this and I am asking you to please read his Cancer Blog and it explains just about everything they have been through the last year.  I don’t really want to use the “easy method of social media and thought   the “soon to be old way of email” would be better to get the word out.  His website may not have products of your particular interest, but by sharing and getting the word out maybe it will be to someone.

I just want to say their story is certainly one that can happen to each and every one of us at any given time.  I cannot admire them enough for how they have handled this and wish I could be the one to help them and not have to rely on others, but such is not the way that the Lord has blessed us.  I guess maybe God has decided to give me the skill of sending emails and trying to get the word out, which I find no problem with.   Please also keep them in your prayers as their struggles are definitely not behind them and can use all the prayers they can be blessed with.

Thanks for taking the time to help.  God Bless. ”

As Grandparents some of our challenges are overwhelming but I do know that support of any kind makes all burdens more manageable. If you find it in your heart it would be good to read Jeff’s Cancer blog and atleast jot him a line of support.

Good fortune abounds even in these though circumstances. It is nice to be part of people who care enough to do something about making this spaceship a better place to live.  Thanks, Grandpa NEIL
