My book No Greater Loss addresses the issue of grandparents visitation rights in detail. Knowing just what you should do and understanding how to get it done is crucial. It’s also necessary to know what you should NOT do, what mistakes to avoid. One of the best approaches to reach that goal is discovering what mistakes others have made in order to make sure you avoid them.

Next, if you don’t understand the law it is very important to seek the help of an attorney. This is sometimes a critical point since even though we may think we understand the law we usually do not. What you should do to avoid this mistake is to hire an attorney in the beginning.
And lastly, be patient and never give up. The waiting can be a problem in cases where we are so anxious to visit with our grandchildren. You can avoid this problem by trying to stay in contact by phone, mail or whatever way you can.
Recognizing these types of frequent mistakes with gaining grandparent visitation rights and a lot of love will get you through this. And very carefully avoiding these mistakes will help it happen a lot quicker.
