for the
Helpers
I am really hung up on Mr Roger’s Mom's admonition that we should be “Looking for the Helpers.”
There is a special group of helpers that number in the millions. These are Grandparents forced into caring for their Grandchildren. A lot of this is due to the Opioid Crisis, which hasn’t taken a time out due to the Virus. These most vulnerable folks are saving Grandchildren from falling through the cracks.
Many are going broke just trying to feed the extra mouths. Add to this the stress of helping the Grandchildren to not feel so abandoned.
