One of the many advantages I find in living these many years is that I have experienced and learned from many great minds. Here in North Carolina we have a treasure. His name is Nido Qubein. I have been learning from his wisdom for the past 30 years. He is a remarkable man who just keeps on giving. You have probably read that I tout the Horatio Alger stories of folks that start with so very little other than courage and determination and add tremendous value to our country. This man epitomizes this idea. I am including the link to a wonderful interview of one of his typical, for him, motivational messages.
His Lebanese-Jordanian mother Lovingly sent him to America, where he knew no one, over 50 years ago with .00 in his pocket. She imparted to him her Superpower; he calls it “Faithful Courage”
Following an extraordinary business career, Nido returned to the scene of his undergrad at Mt. Olive College, which is now a blossoming High Point University, to serve. His philosophy includes ideas such as “It is not just giving back but rather GIVING that should be front of mind”.
Rather than my feeble attempt to tell the story here is a fascination and inspirational message from the man himself. I hope you enjoy……..no actually I hope you share this with everyone you care about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPokO-C2wpo
