MORE LOVE, NOT LESS

A True Champion of Grandparents Rights.

I have spoken of the spectrum of Grandparents’ experiences. There is a painful end to the Grandparents’ Visitation spectrum. On one end, we have the function of a solid extended family unit that sees parents and grandparents, both Maternal and Paternal, joining forces to give the Grandkids the best experience of Love in the family. The other end of the spectrum is where you will see shattered family units where grandkids are used as pawns in a tragic power struggle chess game.

Grandparents, especially those at this end of the Visitation spectrum, have a Champion named Richard S. Victor PLLC. Since 1984 he has founded and led the Grandparents Rights Organization. His dedication to this issue is unmatched by anyone I have known in my dozen years of learning and writing about Grandparents’ Rights.

Richard S. Victor, PLLC, believes, “If death takes a child away from their grandparents, that is a tragedy. But, if family bickering or dysfunction denies a child the right to have shared memories and the unconditional Love a grandparent has to offer a child—that is a shame”.

In another quote by Mr. Victor, he is even more graphic and demonstrates the result of dysfunctional family units more poignantly. “Remember, if death takes a grandparent from a grandchild, that is a tragedy, but if petty vindictiveness and hostilities within a family amputate a grandchild from their grandparents, then that is a shame.”

Grandparents have sooooooo much to contribute to their Grandkids that it is incumbent upon us to do all we can to do whatever it takes to stay connected to them in whatever way possible, given the circumstances.

Thank You for being a Caring Grandparent.
