MAKING OURSELVES INVALUABLE

Now is a good time to create your indispensable place in the lives of your precious Grandchildren. Since every family has it’s own dynamics it is incumbent on you to find a way to best serve your Grandbabies. The more proactive you are now the greater the rewards later. I realize it may be a stretch to do something as outrageous as to learn how to play an online game with your grandchild. It is a primary principle of Dale Carnegie […]

AN EPADEMIC WITHIN A PANDEMIC.

Grandparents caring for grandchildren because of the Opioid Epidemic don’t get to go hide. They don’t get time off to deal with the Carona virus Pandemic. Actually most of these brave folks are the most vulnerable to the pandemic. These Caring Grandparents find themselves in an already complicated and uninvited crisis. The epidemic “is overwhelming many families and child welfare systems,” said Jaia Peterson Lent of Generations United, a Washington-based advocacy group cofounded by AARP, at a Special Committee on […]

I ADMIT I AM NOT UP TO DATE WITH ONLINE GAMES!

There are advantages to being old, or should I be politically correct and say matured. Look at the dates of the articles, books, etc. 2) Consider the credibility of the internet sites you are searching. The most credible one is by far the AARP site. I applaud the fact that you are fighting for the best interest of your Grandchildren. Thanks for being a Caring Grandparent.

Ain’t Life Grand?

I am a great fan of sunrises. That must be why I chose the North Carolina coast to retire to. It may not be fair play but all I have to do is to call my grandkids and remind them that Grandpa Neil has an ocean. It saves me a lot of travel time and money. Each time the three of them come I have to take them each individually for a sunrise. this creates wonderful bonds and individual time […]

What Can We Do?

In this era of NO Grandparents Rights I wanted to share this thought from the English Writer SAMUEL JOHNSON. “Kindness is in our power, even when fondness is not”. It is hard but maybe one of our Grandbabies notices that we are taking the High Road I am so grateful for all of you Caring Grandparents.
